Shull - Nancy Lowery

Nancy Jane, daughter of Hiram and Susan Lowery was born in Cass County, Indiana in the year of our Lord, January 19, 1857 and departed this life January 6, 1939 at the age of 78 years 11 months 18 days. At the age of 18 she came to Montgomery County to live and in a short while was married to John Elmore, son of Appleton and Irene Elmore who with two daughters, Mrs. Effie Bush and Mrs. Lena Earl, preceded her in death. In early life she sought and found spiritual strength and acknowledged her Savior, united with the Christian Church of Crawfordsville. In October 1926, she was united in marriage to John Shull of Meca, Indiana. Those who survive to mourn her passing are her husband, John Shull of Mecca, 5 daughters, Mrs. Nora Oxley of Wingate, Mrs. Lyda Morrison of Darlington, Mrs Vyda Hinds of Indianapolis; Mrs. Florence Adelsperger of Hammond and Mrs. Mayme Sherwood of Chicago; 4 brothers, Walter Oscar, Otto & David Lowers, one sister, Blanche Browning, 14 grandchildren and two great grandchildren and a large circle of friends. - kbz
